Hi I'm Susie. I believe that relationships are really important. We encounter lots of different relationships over the course of our lives: friends, siblings, parents, bosses, co-workers and then there is the relationship we have with ourselves. Our unique life experiences inform our thoughts, feelings and behaviours; and sometimes we can get stuck in outdated patterns.
About me and my practice
I offer trauma informed, relational coaching and therapy to both individuals and couples.
I work online only and run coaching and therapy sessions via Google Meet or Bilateral Base (secure EMDR platform).
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a number of psychological theories and/or coaching approaches including: EMDR, IFS, existentialism, solution focused, emotionally focused, person centred and strengths based.
My services are broken down as follows:
- talking therapy - 50m sessions
- trauma informed therapy - 50-90m sessions
- couples therapy - 50m sessions
- coaching - 90m introductory session (flexible package)
- mentoring* - 90m introductory session (flexible package)
*Many of my clients are therapists or work in adjacent professions in the NHS. I offer mentoring to therapists who are considering moving from employment to private practice or integrating a new modality/coaching approach into their therapy practice.
As well as offering 1:1 sessions, I am currently working on creating on demand course content for clients and therapists. The first offering will be about how trauma impacts us in the workplace. Please let me know if you would like to be added to the waiting list for this.
Feminist principles underpin all my services, and many of my clients are in the LGBTQ+ community.
Experience
As an ex woman in tech, I have 20 years experience of performance and life coaching; culminating in working with female founders at Google.
Since retraining as a psychotherapist, I trained and worked with Rape Crisis, and have significant experience working with victims and survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. For many years, I also worked as both a counsellor and a strategist with an affordable counselling charity. I now work in private practice only.
I also have training and experience working with addiction, OCD, anxiety and depression.
I am a qualified EMDR practitioner, and have training and experience working with neurodiverse clients.
As a BACP media spokesperson, I often contribute to articles in the national press on relationships. I continuously train to improve my understanding of relationships - not just romantic - but also siblings, adult children and parents and workplace relationships.
For the last 12 months, I have been undertaking training and research around the links between trauma and menopause.

Initial Consultation
I offer 30m consultations to give us the opportunity to understand what you are coming to coaching/therapy for, as well as to get a feel as to whether we are the right fit for each other. In my experience, the coaching/therapy relationship is key, and is as much a part of the growth/healing experience as any coaching/therapeutic approach.
Many clients approach me with interest in both therapy and coaching, therefore, a longer consultation also provides us with the opportunity to plan our time together.
